Established in 1959 as the International Secretariat of Radiographers and Radiological Technicians, the organization later evolved into the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technicians in 1962. In 1992, it was renamed the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists. Today, ISRRT proudly represents over 65 member countries and a collective of 200,000 radiographers worldwide. Collaborating closely with national bodies and the World Health Organization, ISRRT plays a pivotal role in advancing the field of radiography on a global scale.

The Radiographer Society of Emirates (RASE) stands as the primary national association for radiographers across the Emirates, functioning under the auspices of the Emirates Medical Society. Committed to excellence, RASE focuses on delivering top-tier training and educational programs to benefit not only the wider radiology community but also its individual members. Through strategic partnerships with healthcare institutions, educational entities, and industry stakeholders, RASE endeavors to propel the practice of radiography forward, fostering a culture of professional excellence among its members.
